Big growth starts with strong words, strong identity, and strong community. Every day, young men and their families deserve language that feels empowering, useful, and real. At The Competitive Readers Coalition (CRC), our daily Word of the Day series is here to make learning feel inspiring, approachable, and part of everyday life.
Erudition
Definition:Erudition means deep knowledge gained through study, reading, and learning.
Origin/Etymology:Erudition comes from the Latin eruditio and the verb erudire, meaning “to instruct.” Its deeper roots connect to the idea of leading someone out of a rough or untrained state into knowledge, skill, and confidence.
Why it matters: Erudition helps build success by giving young men the words, insight, and confidence to move through school, leadership spaces, and life with clarity.
Keep growing. Keep reading. Keep showing up as the remarkable young leader you are becoming.
