Word of the Day: Perseverance (CRC) | Why Sticking With It Changes Everything for Young Men

Yo, family! Professor Antonio is back in the shop with a word that separates the dreamers from the achievers. Today, we’re talking about Perseverance.

When things get tough, do you fold or do you find a way? Let’s break it down.

The Word: Perseverance

Definition: Perseverance is the continued effort to do or achieve something despite difficulties, failure, or opposition. It’s that inner drive that keeps you moving toward the finish line when the road gets rocky.

Etymology: The word comes from the Latin perseverantia, meaning “steadfastness” or “constancy.” It’s built from per- (thoroughly) and severus (serious or strict). Basically, it means being strictly and thoroughly dedicated to your goal, no matter what.

Why It Matters

In our community, perseverance is the engine that transforms a spark of potential into a flame of success, ensuring that our young men stay the course until their vision becomes their reality.

Whether you’re grinding through a tough chapter in a book or working to master a new skill in the shop, remember: the finish line doesn't move, you just have to keep walking toward it.

Stay sharp, stay focused, and keep reading!
